For many students the highlight of the Grade Eight year was the annual trip to Toronto.  Coming as it did at the end of the year, it marked the end of their time at A. B. Ellis and provided a taste of the summer holiday that was about to begin.  The trip was always a mixture of educational visits, a taste of big city life, a Blue Jays game and a tour of the Ontario Legislature.  Further down this page you will see the itinerary for the 1991 & 1992 trips.  The visit to the Legislature was encouraged by the Ontario government and as an incentive they made a grant available to schools to assist in the transportation costs.  Each visit ended in a group photograph taken with the local member of the legislature.  If you click on the links below you can see a selection of photographs taken on those occasions.
